Project Purple is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization with a mission of raising awareness and funds towards a cure for Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer is the 4th largest killer of all cancer killers and the least funded of the top 10 cancers. It is also the only cancer in the top 10 killer with a single digit survival rate after 5 years.
In my quest to raise money for research and assistance for pancreatic cancer victims, I have found some wonderful charities. I am thrilled to be able to run the Chicago Marathon for Project Purple. Chicago will now become # 95 in my journey to 100 marathons. 100 for Hope. We Got This!!!

Since 1997 the Foundation’s dedicated efforts have significantly raised awareness and understanding of pancreatic cancer, a disease expected to become the second most common cause of cancer-related death in the US by 2020. Our determined funding of basic and translational research is our chance to offer life extension, effective treatment options and eventually, a cure for this diagnosis.
